Registration for all Capital City Skating Club winter programs for 2011-2012 season.

Four registration evenings will be held for our winter 2011-2012 seasons.
Sept 19 and 20th LBR 6-8 pm
Sept 26 and 28th WOR 6-8 pm

Registration must be made in person and space is limited.

Please take note that Saturday programs are run at the Lady Beaverbrook Rink and Sunday programs are held at the Willie O'Ree Place

Canskate 1 is for beginners age 3-5 years old or returning skaters in this age group working on their first three badges.

Canskate 2 is beginners age 6 years and older or returning skaters in this age group working on their first three badges.

Canskate 3 is for skaters who have completed their first three badges and are working on stages 4 to 6.

All skaters who have not completed badge number 5 of the Skate Canada Canskate program must wear a hockey helmet. Bicycle helmets are not acceptable. Please see the following document for Skate Canada's helmet policy. Helmet Policy

Adult learn to skate is for those wishing to learn to skate who are beyond the age for Canskate. This program will include group instruction from a certified coach for 2 - 15 minute sessions each week and 1 - 15 minute sessions to practice their skills independantly.

The winter season begins October 15th, 2011 and ends April 1, 2012

Saturday - at the Lady Beaverbrook Rink
CanSkate 1 - 1:00 to 1:40 pm
CanSkate 2 and Canskate 3 - 1:40 to 2:30 pm

Sunday - At Willie O'Ree Place
CanSkate 1 - 1:20 to 2:00 pm
CanSkate 2 and CanSkate 1 skaters registered for this time slot - 2:00 to 2:45 pm
CanSkate 3 - 2:45 to 3:30 pm
Adult Learn to skate - 2:45 to 3:30 pm

Canskate will begin on Saturday October 15, 2011 and Sunday October 16, 2011. Skaters must be registered for insurance reasons prior to the first skating session. Any skaters arriving at the first session without prior registration will have to wait until the second week to begin skating if there are available spaces.

* Please make sure to have your skates sharpened before your first day of Canskate.
* Parents/Guardians are encouraged to watch from the stands, but are not permitted to go on the ice for insurance reasons.

REFUNDS


There are no refunds after November 6, 2011. Any refunds requested will not include the $35.00 Skate Canada registration fee and the $20.00 for the book of Lotto tickets, these items are non-refundable.

All requests for refunds must be submitted in writing to the Club Board of Directors. Refunds will be mailed to the parent within thirty (30) days of the written requests.

Please note that for CanSkate you can register for a one day program or two day program. If you decide to register for one day, you decide the day you would like to attend, Saturday or Sunday and you come that same day every week.

Ice costs for the Canskate program have increased by 39% over the costs in the winter of 2009 so fees have increased as a result.

Fees below are for the first skater in a family, deduct $20 for any additional members of the same family.

2011-2012 Cancellation Schedule



The Capital City Skating Club shares the use of the City of Fredericton arenas with other users, occasionally we have to cancel or reschedule sessions in order to accommodate special events for other users of the facilities. Cancellations and schedule changes will be kept up to date in our Club Calendar.



PLEASE HAVE SKATES SHARPENED BEFORE ATTENDING YOUR FIRST CANSKATE SESSION, BRAND NEW SKATES ARE NOT USUALLY SHARP WHEN PURCHASED, PLEASE CHECK THEM! Helmet Policy

PARENTS/GUARDIANS ARE ENCOURAGED TO WATCH FROM THE STANDS, BUT ARE NOT PERMITTED ON THE ICE DURING THE CANSKATE SESSIONS FOR INSURANCE REASONS.
